    • Our School Community

In the city of Springfield, St. Aloysius school has symbolized the term, "The Northend" for more than 85 years. The Northend is more than a geographic region of this city. It represents a value system, forged in an ethnic, residential lifestyle. This lifestyle is based on family and dedicated to church and community. St. Aloysius School supports this value system by instilling church, family and community into its strong curriculum and co-curricular programs. This commitment is expressed distinctly in its mission statement of the school:

" As participants in one of the educational missions of the Parish, we, the administration and staff of St. Aloysius School of Springfield, Illinois, are called to be Christian, professional educators. Our primary task is to foster the Catholic development of each child. We are to help every student grow spiritually, intellectually, physically, emotionally and socially. In collaboration with the parents, we endeavor to instill in each child Catholic Christian values that promote respect and concern for, as well as service to, others."

Our Family and Yours...Together in Faith!
